How Wabi Web came to be.
Wabi Web was born from a quiet realisation. That people don't connect with brands through visuals alone — they connect with something deeper. An emotional thread. A sense of who's behind the work, and why it exists.
The studio took shape in 2022, after Sam spent time travelling and working remotely in places where consumerism hadn't taken over. Places where people lived with less, appreciated the present moment, and felt grounded — happy with what they had.
That stayed with her. And it became the foundation for Wabi Web: simplicity over polish, progress over perfectionism, humility and authenticity over performance. A way of working that mirrors the way she thinks the best brands and businesses can be — intentional, considered, real.
Inspired by the Japanese concept of Wabi-Sabi — embracing simplicity in business, life and design — Wabi Web was built to champion founders who believe brands can do more than just sell. Brands aligned with their values, that support the planet, and contribute positively to people and community.
